Abigail Wickson-Griffiths

Abigail Wickson-Griffiths is a PhD student in the School of Nursing, McMaster University. Abigail's doctoral studies are supervised by Sharon Kassalainen. She graduated from McMaster University's B.Sc.N program in 2006 and went on to complete the Master of Nursing program at Ryerson University in 2008. Abigail's master's thesis focused on mealtime strategies for people with dementia and their caregivers living in the community. As part of the Quality Palliative Care in Long Term Care Alliance project, she will focus on advanced care planning activities for her doctoral thesis.

 

Lucinda Landau

Lucinda Landau is a Clinical Chaplain (CASC) enrolled in the Doctorate of Ministry program at the Toronto School of Theology, University of Toronto. She graduated with her Masters of Divinity from Trinity College, University of Toronto in 2008 and is awaiting her Specialist designation from the Canadian Association for Spiritual Care (formerly C.A.P.P.E.). During a Graduate Residency in Spiritual Care at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton, her clinical placements in Obstetrics, Emergency and Acute Care stimulated an interest in becoming a Clinical Chaplain Researcher. Lucinda is currently compiling research data from an online survey into The Use of Ritual at the Time of a Pregnancy Loss. Her Doctorate of Ministry research is focused on the integration of chaplains in End of Life Care in Long Term Care (LTC) facilities. As part of the Palliative project, Lucinda is investigating resources to support volunteer spiritual care providers in secular LTC institutions; her primary site is Allendale Long Term Care in Milton, Ontario.
